Road traffic collision - person trapped at Bath Road, Ashcott

Date: 31.08.2019Time: 16:27Location: Bath Road, Ashcott, BridgwaterOne fire appliance from Street and one fire appliance from Glastonbury along with the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Glastonbury were sent to a report of a road traffic collision at the above location.On arrival crews confirmed that one male person was trapped and a plan for releasing him was formulated alongside Paramedics at the scene. The roof, tailgate and two rear doors of the vehicle were removed by Fire Service personnel using hydraulic rescue equipment so that the injured casualty could be released. He was then conveyed to hospital by Ambulance. Fire crews also made the vehicle and scene safe.
