Date: 08.11.2018Time: 18:47Location: Street Road, GlastonburyDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from Police requesting our attendance at a single vehicle road traffic collision where all persons were out of the vehicle but a dog was trapped within the vehicle.

Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Glastonbury and the Rescue Tender which was also sent from Glastonbury.

On arrival crews got to work using one hydraulic combi tool to release the dog uninjured from the boot of the vehicle. The vehicle was attached to a winch and removed from the carriageway by the crews and environmental absorption pads were also applied to the underside of the vehicle to prevent any spillages.

Duty of care was left with the police and recovery.
