Rescue from Open Water at Beckery Road, Glastonbury

Date: 14.10.2019Time: 10:15Location: Beckery Road, GlastonburyFire Control received a call from Police advising that one 60 year old male was surrounded by water in an open field unable to get out. Fire engines from Glastonbury and Street were mobilised, along with a Special Rescue Vehicle from Bridgwater and a Water Incident Manager and an Ops Assurance Officer.  Crews worked alongside Police to locate the male, Control made further contact with the male to provide reassurance and to help determine an exact location. Once located, crews entered the field wearing water rescue gear and used a rescue sled to remove the male from the field safely. The male was recovered in good health and without any injuries. These are all the details we have on this incident.
