A £300 reward is now being offered for any information that leads to a conviction after trees were deliberately damaged in Merriman Park in Street.

Both Street Parish Council and local police are committed to finding those responsible.

A spokesperson for Street Parish Council said: "Get in touch with us if you have any information on the destruction of trees in Merriman Park. We are saddened by the thoughtlessness and lack of respect. Please give your name and details to us."

Inspector Jane Smith of the local police force added, "We take incidents like this very seriously. Vandalism of community spaces harms us all. If anyone has any information, we urge them to come forward."

If you have any details or information regarding the incident, you are encouraged to contact Street Parish Council directly on 01458 440588 or via email at [email protected]. You can also reach out to the local police.
