Avon and Somerset Police have said they are planning patrols in Glastonbury today (July 24) following rumours that a large face mask protest will take place in the town.

There is a rumour going around in Glastonbury that a large anti-mask protest will take place today with a number of people travelling to the town to take part.

A police spokesperson said: "We're received a report of a potential protest in Glastonbury today.

"Officers will be out on patrol in the area.

"We'd like to remind people of their responsibilities to make sure steps are taken to protect the health of themselves and others to reduce the spread of Covid-19."
