Police launch hunt after early morning shop robbery in Glastonbury

Police have launched an investigation after a shop was robbed in Glastonbury early this morning.

Officers were called to the Londis shop on Chinnock Road shortly before 7am on Wednesday (30 July) following reports of a robbery.

Forensic teams attended and a cordon was put in place while officers carried out enquiries.

The scene has since been stood down.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Enquiries are ongoing to identify the suspect and members of the public can expect to see an increased police presence in the area."

Anyone who saw anything suspicious is urged to call 101 and quote reference 5225214266.
