Two teenage girls were involved in a fight in Street on Sunday night. A number of onlookers filmed the altercation and posted it on social media,

Now police are asking anyone with any footage to report it to them while they investigate the incident.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said, "Police were called to Merriman Park, in Street, at about 5.40pm on Sunday, May 22 due to an altercation involving two teenage girls. Neither sustained serious physical injury.

"We have made contact with both victims and their families and are investigating what happened.

"Neighbourhood officers will continue conducting proactive patrols in Street, including the Merriman Park area.

"We are aware footage showing parts of the altercation have been published on social media and we are analysing that as part of our enquiries. We'd please ask people with further footage to report it to us and to avoid publicly speculating about the circumstances while we look into this matter.

"A number of youths were in the area at the time of the incident and we'd therefore ask any witnesses or people who can help our investigation, please call 101 and give reference number 5222121332."
