A planning application has been submitted to Mendip District Council for the conversion of a coach house in Glastonbury into accommodation.

The conversion of the coach house to accommodation ancillary to the main house at 80 Benedict Street, Glastonbury, has been made by Amanda I'ons.

The outbuilding is at the north edge of the property, on the corner of Garvins Road and Carmine Close, and a planning application to convert it into a dwelling in 2006 was refused on the grounds of a lack of available parking.

However, the application this time is to accommodate the applicant's growing family and will be ancillary accommodation to the main house and not sold separately, if it is approved.

Other planning applications submitted this week in the Glastonbury area to Mendip District Council planners include:

Application for a certificate of lawful existing development for the works completed to the facade, internal alterations to the ground floor and single storey rear extension and first floor reconfiguration works at the Sheppey Inn, Lower Godney, has been made by Mr Mark Hey.
