Planning application submitted to build five new houses in Butleigh

A planning application has been submitted to Mendip District Council for five houses to be built in Butleigh.

The application for outline planning permission with some matters reserved for the development of five houses and formation of vehicular access with details of access on land at Barton Road, Butleigh, has been submitted by Gordon Butt.

An application was submitted on the site back in 2014 for 16 homes to be built, but this was refused on the grounds it was outside of the settlement limit.

However, the applicant now would like to build five houses on the site, which lies to the west of Coombe Lodge.

Other planning applications in the Glastonbury area that have been submitted this week to Mendip District Council include:

Retrospective application for the change of use of part of a residential garden curtilage 12 by 24 metres to commercial storage for four vehicles at Sunnybanks, Back River Drove, Sharpham, has been made by Mrs Chantelle Godden.

Application for approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (Sample Panel) and 4 (Surface Water Drainage System) on planning consent 2018/2477/FUL at 12 Bere Lane, Glastonbury, has been made by Mr Nick Curtis.

Erection of agricultural building for storage of fodder and machinery at Coombe Farm, Parbrook Lane, Parbrook, has been applied for by Mr T Allen.

Application for a non-material amendment to permission 2019/3046/FUL for the creation of a new Air/Water and Vacuum Bay, along with two car parking spaces has been made at Wirral Park Service Station, Wirral Park Road, Glastonbury.

Planning applications in the Glastonbury area that have been decided this week by Mendip District Council include:

Certificate of lawfulness for the use of land shown as The Oaks on the submitted site plan for the siting of 43 touring caravans for holiday use and the use of the caravan storage area shown on the same site plan for storing a maximum of 60 touring caravans (amended description 10.06.20) at Wick Farm, The Old Oaks Touring Park, Wick Lane, Wick, by Mr and Mrs AJ and SL White has been approved.

Change of use from use Class B1 (light industrial) to use Class D1 (therapy) at Unit B, Rail Crossing Yard, Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury, by Mr Alexandru-Marius Colbu has been withdrawn.

Erection of two two-storey side/rear extensions at Hope House, Southtown Lane, West Pennard, by Mr and Mrs P Jamieson has been approved.

Prior approval for a proposed change of use of agricultural buildings to dwellinghouses (Class C3), associated operational development and the demolition of Barn B on land at Reynald's Way, Butleigh, by Angus MacDonald has been given.

Application for a non-material amendment to permission 2019/1187/HSE for a larger window and bifold doors on south elevation at Cold Harbour Cottage, Back River Drove, Sharpham, by Mr Blinman has been approved.
