Over 200 jobseekers attended busy jobs fair

By Laura Linham 2nd Dec 2022

A jobs fair held in Glastonbury Town Hall by Street Chamber of Commerce saw around 200 jobs hunters heading into the town to find out about the opportunities on offer.

The fair took place yesterday, on December 1st and allowed candidates to meet more than 27 local and national employers and directly apply for vacancies.

Chair of Street Parish Council, Laura Wolfers, said: "It was a great success - the relationship the Chamber has with the Job Centre helped to drive more jobseekers through the door, and around 200 people came in to talk to the 20 employers who were exhibiting. It was a great event, well-run and there was a great mix of jobs available."

The next jobs fair organised by Street Chamber of Commerce will take place in the Summer - for more information, or if you're a local employer looking to get involved, contact Christine on [email protected]
