If you're feeling a little let down by the lack of organised Bonfire Night events in Street and Glastonbury this weekend, don't fret. Our towns are bustling with alternative activities sure to keep you and your family entertained.

Starting off the weekend is the Millfield Performing Arts Showcase taking place from Thursday to Saturday. Hosted at Millfield School on Butleigh Road in Street, this event promises an immersion into the performing arts world.
If sports are more your thing, the Swim England South West Region Winter Championships are being held from Friday to Sunday at Millfield Swimming Pool on Keen's Elm Lane. Whether you're an avid swimmer or just a fan, this championship is a must-see.
For the bargain hunters, Owen Barry is hosting its Annual Sale on Saturday. Located at Number 3, The Tanyard in Street, you can enjoy a day of shopping from 09:30 to 17:30.
Meanwhile, in Glastonbury, the St John the Baptist's Church on High Street invites you to 'Come & Sing Faure's Requiem' on Saturday from 14:00 to 18:00. It's an open invitation for anyone who wishes to join in or just enjoy the music.
