A woman who vanished overnight in Glastonbury has been found safe after a dramatic early-hours search around the Tor.
Police declared her "high risk" and called in volunteers from Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue (ASSAR) just after midnight on Thursday, 11 December 2025. Crews spent three hours combing the hills, footpaths and fields near the town.
The woman, who hasn't been named, was finally located by paramedics from South Western Ambulance Service shortly before sunrise.
The rescue team, which is made up entirely of volunteers, confirmed it had also called in extra support from Exmoor Search and Rescue Team.
A spokesperson said: "We were able to stand down after three hours. Your support is really appreciated by us and the people we help."
