Millfield artists have achieved a record set of A level results with an outstanding 10 A*s and 7 As.

The record results are coupled with several students going on to study a range of creative courses at university with destinations including Chelsea College of Art, Central St Martins, London College of Fashion, Goldsmiths, Kingston, Loughborough, Leeds, Manchester Metropolitan, Cardiff Met, Oxford Brookes, Falmouth and the Instituto Marangoni to name a few.

Artist Henry Cook studied BTEC Art and Design and achieved an outstanding D* D* D. Henry specialised in fashion and is going on to study Fashion Promotion and Communications at Kingston University. Over the last two years he has developed his own clothing range alongside his studies. He has also been instrumental in promoting Art courses at Millfield Brilliance Award and designed and produced the school's first ever Brilliance Exchange, a clothes swapping event which raised money for charity.

Artist Imogen Clark achieved an A in Photography, which she studied alongside Business and Media. Imogen has been offered two unconditional places at Falmouth University on the BA (Hons) Photography course and the BA (Hons) Press & Editorial course.

Director of Art, Paul Maxfield, said, "Students on the A level Art and Design course, the Photography A level course and the BTEC Art & Design Extended Diploma have all done exceptionally well this year. They have achieved the highest grades by pursuing their own creative journeys."

At Millfield all students are given opportunities to explore their creative side and students benefit from some of the very latest facilities, housed in the school's purpose-built Fine Arts Centre which includes the Atkinson Gallery.

Staff are all experts in their field, and they have the flexibility to teach across multiple disciplines, allowing students to cover a range of vocational and Fine Art courses to suit all interests and levels of ability, where they can engage in everything from drawing and painting to photography and computer aided design.
