CAD Design Engineer/Draughtsman - Glastonbury

I have a fantastic opportunity for a CAD Design Engineer/Draughtsman for a client of mine near Glastonbury. This role is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm, and if office based.

Responsible to: Technical Director

Responsible for: Assisting in the development of products and projects

Job purpose:

  • To work on the design of new equipment used in the waste recycling industry
  • Take measurements of existing machinery and produce drawings from the measurements taken
  • Produce drawings for products and components produced in the workshop.
  • To progress projects through from design to completion.
  • Produce drawings for installations and layouts.

Main responsibilities and activities:

  • Ensure all drawings are completed on time to allow production to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all drawings are kept up to date and filed correctly.
  • Ensure all drawings are checked thoroughly before issuing or filing.
  • Ensure all documentation associated with the drawing office is completed correctly, i.e. drawing references, serial numbers, BOMs, etc.
  • Liaise with suppliers on technical components, their specifications and methods.
  • Attend site visits if required to take measurements and discuss customers' requirements, assist with quotes and follow up visits for the project
  • Keep up to date with rules and regulations surrounding the design of new and existing equipment
  • Liaise with production/management personnel on design of new equipment

Key attributes:

  • Have a good understanding of drawing methods with a recognised qualification.
  • Have good keyboard skills and conversant with Windows Office (particularly Excel and Word)
  • Have a good understanding of AutoCAD systems (3D Inventor, preferably).
  • Be able to work on your own initiative in a pressurised environment.
  • Be able to respond flexibly to change.
  • Have the ability to communicate with other personnel and customers.
  • Conduct yourself in a reliable, presentable and professional manner.
  • Hold a full driving licence.

Job specifics:

Permanent, full-time. Salary £25,000 to £32,000 per annum.

Multi Traders - Glastonbury

I am currently working with a number maintenance contractors who are looking for Multi Traders to join their expanding team.

Requirements:

  • Must have all tools and be experienced within the domestic housing
  • Experience and be confident in other trades such as carpentry, basic plumbing, patching, tiling, etc
  • Full driving licence

Package/benefits:

  • Temporary to permanent
  • Paye - van and fuel card provided
  • Very competitive salary offered

Contract, full-time. £15 to £18 per hour.

Car Valeters - Glastonbury

I am looking for two car valeters for a client in Glastonbury.

You do not need to have experience but you do need to be:

  • Reliable
  • Hard working
  • Great work ethic
  • Able to work as a team
  • The right attitude

Its manual work as you will be cleaning, polishing, hoovering the cars ready for sale. It's a great team and this company has a great reputation.

You will also be trained on the application of protective products. Uniform provided and great team environment.

Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. Holiday is 22 days a year plus Bank holidays.

Pension and free parking.

Job specifics:

Permanent, full-time. £10 per hour.
