Supply Teacher - Glastonbury

Hays Education are looking for qualified Primary Teachers to work on a supply basis.

Are you a NQT or Experienced KS1/KS2 Teacher who is looking for a teaching job within Glastonbury?

Hays Education are working with schools on a partnership basis across the surrounding areas who are looking for supply teachers to work either short term or on a long-term basis.

Your new school:

As a supply teacher you will be working through Hays who will provide you with a variety of supply secondary teaching jobs in a range of different schools.

The variety of jobs we offer range from long term to short term positions and can be for as many days a week as you require.

We work with a wide range of schools in a number of different areas, each broadening your knowledge and experience.

Your new teaching role:

As a Primary Teacher you will be working with a number of secondary schools across various areas.

The jobs we offer will require you to have previous recent experience within an educational environment.

You will be expected to follow lesson plans and deliver. We can offer you day to day positions which are more short term contracts and long term positions which can last more than a term and could lead to perm employment.

What you'll need to succeed you will be a qualified teacher or NQT. You will have previous experience of teaching in a primary setting teaching the national curriculum.

You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results.

You will also possess strong behavior and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check.

Mid-Senior PHP Developer - Glastonbury

Technologi are looking for a capable, knowledgeable, motivated individual to assist in developing the software that supports the service proposition offered to its customers and resellers.

The type of person we are looking for will have had involvement in building new applications from the ground up based on the specification and requirements although does not necessarily need to have gained their experience in a commercial environment.

This role would suit graduates as well as those who are new to a commercial environment although have spent sufficient time learning their skill and building their knowledge.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a team member with our client, the business bringing revolution to the UK card payments industry focusing on system innovation and service excellence.

Responsibilities of the Mid/Senior PHP Developer:

  • Required to work in an environment where the data being input into the developed system is highly confidential and will have experience in developing code that supports strong security.
  • A well-structured and project driven individual that is able to plan and set accurate delivery expectations and is used to providing regular updates to their line manager on their progress.
  • Working with other development team members and software architects for designing and implementing the solutions.
  • Keep abreast of technology/software enhancements and how they would apply and would be used within NetPay.
  • Participate in daily team meetings to discuss progress with other team members using a SCRUM methodology.
  • Preferable ambition to progress in the business as it grows.

Requirements of the Mid/Senior PHP Developer:

  • Minimum three years' commercial software development experience with PHP.
  • Strong experience with PHP MVC frameworks (Phalcon, Laravel, Zend, CodeIgniter etc.)
  • Experience with REST Web Service APIs development.
  • Experience with test driven development and PHP Unit Testing.
  • Experience with databases, ERD designing, advanced query writing and optimisation.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (Mongo, Cassandra etc.) but not essential.
  • Experience with Message Queue (Rabbit, Kafka, Active) but not essential.
  • Experience with native JavaScript and frameworks such as Vue JS, React, jQuery, Twitter Bootstrap, etc.
  • Experience with Version Control System such as GIT, SVN etc.
  • Graduation from Software Engineering or similar discipline is essential.

  • Customer Focus - Makes and meets internal customer commitments understanding that their requirements are what drive those of the business and keep the doors open.

Permanent, full-time. Salary £65,000 per annum.

Book-keeper - Glastonbury

We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Book-keeper for our client on a six-month fixed term contract.

As a part of a company restructure this role will initially be to analyse the current financial processes and procedures with a view to recommending more efficient working practices.

Once you have a good grasp of the department you will be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of the function and ensuring that the management team are provided with the necessary month end reports. You will be responsible for:

  • Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed
  • Management of sales ledger
  • Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions
  • Balancing accounts
  • Managing client invoices and payments
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts
  • Working closely with accountants to prepare VAT returns

This is a great role for an experienced book-keeper looking to use their experience to shape and enhance a finance department.

You will be working alongside a progressive manager to achieve the ambitious goals set for the company.

Job specifics:

Contract, full-time. Salary £25,000 per annum.
