Want to back a project that's transforming the Glastonbury community, one skate trick, tune, and mural at a time?
Lost Projects is your ticket. Founded by the trio of Gavin, Andrew, and Ed, this grassroots initiative has become a sanctuary for people of all ages to indulge their creative impulses.
Whether you're into skateboarding, music production, or visual arts, there's a space designed specifically for you at Lost Projects. A handcrafted skate suite for those flips and ollies, a retrofitted 57-seater school bus that serves as a music studio, and graffiti-laden areas ideal for art rehearsals—you name it, they've got it.
So how can you support this urban oasis? Lost Projects relies heavily on its sponsorship programme to keep the venture not just alive, but thriving. Andrew, one of the co-founders, said, "Sponsorship is crucial. This is a community project that has been needed for ages." There are various ways you can get involved:
- Bronze Sponsorship (£25) Being a Bronze sponsor earns you a spot on the 'Proud Sponsors' board at Lost Projects, ensuring your name becomes a part of this inspiring initiative.
- Silver Sponsorship (£50) A step up from Bronze, Silver sponsors not only get their names displayed but also receive six 2-hour skate lessons. Perfect if you've been wanting to hone your skateboarding skills or even learn from scratch.
- Gold Sponsorship (£100) At the Gold level, you'll get a one-year skate season pass along with your name shining on the 'Proud Sponsors' board. An ideal choice for committed community members who see the long-term benefit of having such a space in Glastonbury.
Mayor of Glastonbury, Cllr Indra Don Francesco, who officially inaugurated the project, echoes this sentiment, "We should all support this project. It's a much-needed initiative for our youth and community."
The team at Lost Projects is also seeking grants to make the space more accessible and inclusive. Your sponsorship can play a significant role in achieving that dream. So why not invest in a local project that's making waves?
If this sounds like something you'd like to support, head over to the Lost Projects website for more details. Your contribution can make a world of difference in sustaining and growing this vibrant community hub.
