There was a noticeable emergency services presence in Glastonbury this afternoon (Wednesday April 2nd) with two separate incidents unfolding in the town around the same time.

A police helicopter was seen circling the town, which was part of a search for a missing person. The individual has now been found safe and well.

Elsewhere in the town, officers attending concern for welfare incident forced entry into a property on the Kingsfield Estate..

Police have since confirmed this was related to a separate concern for welfare and that person was also located.

A spokesperson said: "Officers responded to two separate incidents in Glastonbury this afternoon. One involved a search for a missing person, supported by the police helicopter, who has since been located safely. The second was a concern for welfare, which was also resolved without further action.

"We would like to thank the community for their understanding while we carried out our duties."
