Residents are invited to attend a Health and Wellbeing Community Event taking place in Glastonbury on Monday 18th May, bringing together a range of local and Somerset‑wide organisations under one roof.

Running throughout the day at St Dunstan's House Community Health and Wellbeing Centre, the event is free to attend, with visitors welcome to drop in and explore what support is available in their community.

At the heart of the event will be a Community Village, offering a chance to meet local organisations, community groups and health services, all in one place. The aim is to make it easier for people to find support, advice and opportunities close to home.

Visitors will be able to access a wide range of information and support on the day, including:

- health checks and wellbeing advice

- ways to stay active and improve mobility

- carers support

- housing advice and practical help

- community groups, activities and volunteering opportunities

The event is open to everyone, but may be particularly useful for people living with ongoing health conditions or mobility issues, those who are older or feeling socially isolated, or anyone looking for ways to stay active, connected and independent.

Alongside the Community Village, invited patients from local GP practices will be attending pre‑arranged, appointment‑only sessions with Somerset NHS Foundation Trust's musculoskeletal (MSK) and physiotherapy services in the Town Hall, helping to support people on waiting lists to manage their conditions.

The event has been organised collaboratively by Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP), and West Mendip Primary Care Network, which includes Glastonbury Surgery, Glastonbury Health Centre, Wells City Practice, Wells Health Centre and Vine Surgery Partnership.

By bringing together health services, voluntary organisations and community partners in one place, the event aims to show what can be achieved when organisations work together at a neighbourhood level, making support easier to access.

No appointment is needed for the Community Village, and attendees are encouraged to drop-in at any time between 9.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-4.30pm.
