Green light given to convert Lydford-on-Fosse barn into a home

Mendip District Council has given approval to a planning application for the conversion of a barn in Lydford-on-Fosse into a home.

The application for the conversion and alterations of the existing barn to a residential dwelling, following amended plans and additional information received on April 22, at Rubbery Farm, Rubbery Lane, Lydford-on-Fosse, was made by John Collett.

The existing barn is used as storage for the main farmhouse which was sold off to the current owners when the farm was divided up in 2006.

Planning applications in the Glastonbury area which have been received this week by Mendip District Council include:

Retrospective creation of a hard-standing for parking of vehicles at Sunnybanks, Back River Drove, Sharpham, has been applied for by Mrs Chantelle Godden.

Application for approval of reserved matters following outline approval 2020/0131/OTA for the erection of a single dwelling and associated access, matters of access/landscaping to be determined at 16 Oxenpill, Meare, has been made by Howard Baker.

Application for a certificate of lawful existing development for dwellinghouse (use class c3) at Lubborn Cottage, Lubborn Lane, Baltonsborough, has been made by Mr and Mrs Wright.

Planning applications in the Glastonbury area which have been decided by Mendip District Council this week include:

Approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (walling), 5 (bat box), 7 (ecology) 8 (foul drainage) and 9 (surface water drainage) on planning consent 2019/2453/FUL at Woodlands Farm, Woodlands Road, West Pennard, by Mr and Mrs S Brine has been given.

Retrospective application for replacement doors at Abbey Court, Benedict Street, Glastonbury, by Abbots Court Glastonbury Ltd has been approved.

Proposed first floor extension to single storey dwelling, including single and two storey rear extensions, and oak framed entrance porch to front elevation at Kelston, 13 Glastonbury Road, Meare, by Mr and Mrs T Foster has been approved.
