Glastonbury's MP James Heappey gives his backing to Liz Truss in Conservative leadership contest

Glastonbury's MP James Heappey has pledged his support to Liz Truss in the Conservative leadership contest.
The MP for the Wells constituency posted a video on his Facebook page this afternoon (Friday, July 15) setting out his reasons for choosing to back the controversial Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.
In the video, Mr heappey says: "I have had the opportunity to talk to all the candidates. My decision is to support Liz Truss. I think she is the right person to unite our party.
"I have challenged her on the things I think matter most here in the Wells constituency."
