Glastonbury Tor to light up for Air Ambulance Week 2025

Glastonbury Tor will be illuminated in yellow and green on Monday 8 September as part of Air Ambulance Week 2025, marking its support for the vital work of air ambulance charities across the UK.
The annual campaign, which runs from 8 to 14 September, aims to raise awareness and funds for the 21 air ambulance services that operate nationwide. Each mission flown costs around £3,500 and is funded entirely by public donations.
Tracy Bartram, communications manager at Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, said: "Air Ambulance Week is a key date in our calendar, as it enables us to raise awareness of our work and remind people that every mission we fly is only possible thanks to public support.
"With each mission costing around £3,500, raising awareness is just as important as raising funds, because people can only support us if they understand more about our work and the difference that the donations make."
Glastonbury Tor, a symbol of spiritual heritage and one of Somerset's most recognisable landmarks, will stand out as a beacon of support during the week-long campaign.
Bartram added: "We are so grateful to everyone involved for making this year's Air Ambulance Week light-ups extra special. To see Glastonbury Tor illuminated in our colours is incredibly powerful."
Other participating landmarks include Wookey Hole and St James Church in Yeovil, which will also light up in support of the cause.
