Wednesday February 5 could prove to be a busy day on the roads in Glastonbury, as there will be temporary traffic lights on both the A361 and the A39.

The lights on the A361 will be outside of Tor Leisure and will be to enable Western Power Distribution to trim some trees.

On the A39, the lights will be near to the Northload Bridge Roundabout heading in the Wells direction, and they will be in place from Wednesday to February 10.

This will be so work can be done on the central island and the signs. The lights will be under manual control.

Other roadworks in Glastonbury this week include:

On Thursday and Friday February 6 and 7, there will be stop and go traffic control on the A361 Bere Lane for Wales and West Utilities work.

There will also be stop and go traffic control on Thursday in Butleigh Road, so Western Power Distribution can trim some trees.

From Thursday to Saturday February 8, there will be multi-way temporary traffic lights in Watts Corner, to enable BT to clear some blockages.

On Monday February 3, Western Power Distribution will be tree trimming in Tor View Avenue, and it will be doing similar work in Hill Head on Wednesday.

From Monday to Wednesday, Bristol Water will be repairing a leak in Southfields.

A month-long permit to enable scaffolding to be put up outside of The Crown in the Market Place, begins on Monday.

On Wednesday, Bristol Water's work to repair a burst main in Meadow View should be completed.

Also on Wednesday, the month-long permit for scaffolding at Abbey Mews in the High Street runs out.

Finally, the two-month long permit runs out on Friday for scaffolding outside of the old HSBC building in the High Street.
