Glastonbury's RITS Day is calling on local businesses and supporters to help make this year's charity event bigger than ever.

Riders In The Sky will hold RITS Day 2026 at Tor Leisure in Glastonbury on Sunday, 30 August, in memory of Lee Baker. The ride out and family fun day will raise money for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

Organisers are looking for a local business to sponsor 20 pink high-visibility vests for bike marshals. The volunteers help the event run safely and smoothly, and Riders In The Sky says the sponsorship would make a real difference.

The group is also appealing for auction and raffle prizes to help raise as much money as possible on the day. Suggested donations include gift vouchers, restaurant or café experiences, hampers, attraction tickets, beauty and spa treatments, motorcycle accessories or clothing, bottles, gifts, experiences and sports memorabilia.

Organisers said no donation is too big or too small, with every prize helping the event support the air ambulance charity. Businesses and individuals who can help are being asked to contact Riders In The Sky through its Facebook page.

The event itself will include a ride out, with entry costing £10 per bike and sign-in closing at 10 am. The family fun day will then run from midday until late, with free entry.

Visitors can expect food and drink, live music from local bands, stalls, children's entertainment and rides, plus the raffle and auction. Donations will also be welcome on the day.

Riders In The Sky said volunteers are at the heart of RITS Day and help everything run safely behind the scenes. The group has thanked local businesses and individuals who have supported the event in previous years, and is hoping that generosity will return again in 2026.
