Glastonbury is set to host a landmark celebration of diversity and unity with the upcoming Glastonbury Pride 2024, which for the first time will feature the Intersex-Inclusive Pride Flag flying high above the Town Hall.

Scheduled for Sunday, 28th July, the event promises a full day of activities centred around visibility, queer spirituality, and community solidarity for Glastonbury's LGBTQi+ population, along with their families, friends, and allies.

The day will kick off with a morning brunch, setting the stage for a series of engaging events. Revellers can enjoy live entertainment at the Market Cross until 2 pm, after which the festivities will move to St Ben's Church. Throughout the day, attendees can participate in a fundraising raffle designed to support local LGBTQi+ charities, with prizes generously provided by local businesses.

In a powerful display of community spirit, a march will commence at 1 pm from the Market Cross, winding through the town with the Intercom Flag proudly borne at the forefront, led by the symbolic Unity Candle. This march underscores the theme of the day: Unity through Diversity.

Additional activities include Pride Services held at St Benedict's and Glastonbury URC, an afternoon picnic, and contemplative spaces facilitated by the Quakers in Street, providing ample opportunities for reflection and celebration.

Glastonbury Pride is calling for volunteers to act as march stewards, welcoming anyone willing to contribute their time towards making this event a safe and successful celebration.
