Glastonbury's Mural Trail, a project that has become a significant part of the town's cultural landscape, is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special fundraising event on 19 September. The trail, which officially launched at Glastonbury Skate Park in 2019, has brought a splash of colour to the town's walls through a series of striking and thought-provoking artworks created by a diverse group of artists.

The anniversary event, to be held at the Heart of The Tribe Gallery on Glastonbury's High Street, will not only celebrate the trail's success but also raise funds to ensure its continuation. Over the past five years, the Mural Trail has been a community-driven initiative that has brightened the town's streets, attracting both locals and visitors alike to explore Glastonbury's artistic side.

The event will feature a raffle with a variety of prizes, including a dinner for two at Queen of Cups, a large bottle of 'Whispering Angel' French wine, and a £110 voucher for Thorndown paints. Raffle tickets, priced at £3 each or 4 for £10, are available from the Heart of The Tribe Gallery and online until the draw, which will take place at 8:30 pm on the night of the event.

In addition to the raffle, a silent auction of artworks donated by the trail's participating artists will be held. The auction will support the ongoing maintenance of the Mural Trail and fund the creation of new murals in the future. Notable artists contributing to the auction include Faye Suzannah, XENZ, Oksana Gaidasheva, DMK, John D'Oh, and Frank Harwood, with more to be announced. Bidding will open at 6:00 pm on 19 September and close on 19 October.

The Mural Trail has been a significant cultural initiative for Glastonbury, showcasing the town's vibrant artistic community and providing a platform for artists to share their work with a broader audience. This anniversary event not only celebrates the achievements of the past five years but also looks to secure the future of the trail for years to come.

Organisers have expressed their gratitude to sponsors Starchild, Queen of Cups, Rogues Gallery, and The Krumble Empire for their support in hosting the event.

The Heart of The Tribe Gallery is located at 74 High Street, Glastonbury. For more information about the event and to purchase raffle tickets, visit the Heart of The Tribe Gallery website.
