Glastonbury's median house price stood at £280,000 at the end of the first half of 2026, according to a new property market report. The analysis recorded 169 completed residential sales in the town during the previous 12 months.

The figure was unchanged year on year and was £15,000 below the reported Somerset median of £295,000. It was also £5,000 below the UK median quoted in the report.

Detached homes were the most expensive property type, with a median sale price of £450,000. Semi-detached homes stood at £277,500, while terraced properties recorded a median of £250,000.

Flats were the most affordable category at £147,500. That left a gap of more than £300,000 between the median prices of flats and detached homes.

The figures were published by commercial finance brokerage Construction Capital using HM Land Registry Price Paid data. This records properties that have been sold for value and registered with the Land Registry, meaning the latest transactions may not yet appear in the figures.

Five of the latest registered Glastonbury sales included detached homes selling for £950,000, £812,500 and £765,000. A terraced property sold for £253,000, while a flat was recorded at £135,000.

The report found no registered new-build transactions in Glastonbury during the 12-month period. That does not necessarily mean no new homes were built, as the data only covers completed sales that had been registered.

Although the overall annual median was unchanged, individual sale prices varied widely depending on the type, size and location of the property. The figures provide a snapshot of completed transactions rather than a valuation of every home in the town.
