Parking enforcement has been stepped up in Glastonbury following repeated complaints about vehicles blocking footpaths — particularly along Wells Road.

The issue was formally raised at the end of last year after reports of pedestrians being forced into the road due to obstructed pavements. Officers have since been monitoring the area and are issuing fines or providing education to offending drivers.

Police have confirmed enforcement remains active, with Wells Road described as an ongoing hotspot.

Vehicles found blocking pedestrian access will face action as part of efforts to improve footway safety across the town.
