A Glastonbury women's group is throwing open its doors and urging new faces to join its growing ranks.

Avalon Ladies WI will meet at The Hub on Wednesday, 11 March 2026 at 7pm, and organisers say the evening is the perfect chance for women in the town and surrounding Somerset villages to see what the group is all about.

The March meeting will feature a guest speaker who is an expert in the paranormal.

Avalon Ladies WI meets on the second Wednesday of every month and is separate from the afternoon Glastonbury WI, offering an evening alternative for those who prefer to meet later in the day.

Members describe the group as friendly, relaxed and welcoming, encouraging women to "come for the conversation" and stay for the company. Tea and cake are served at meetings, alongside a programme of talks and activities throughout the year.

The next gathering takes place at 7pm at The Hub, Glastonbury, with future meetings continuing monthly unless otherwise announced.
