Glastonbury area roadworks for week commencing September 28

Temporary traffic lights are planned to be in use at a junction on the B3151 in Meare this week.

The multi-way lights are due to be in place at the junction of the B3151 St Mary's Road and Ashcott Road on Wednesday (September 30) and Thursday (October 1).

They are set to be used to enable Truespeed to test and possibly build track to BT boxes as part of its ultrafast broadband rollout.

Other roadworks scheduled to take place in the Glastonbury area this week include:

Western Power Distribution's work to locate and repair a streetlight cable fault in Windmill Hill Road is due to last until 4.30pm on Wednesday.

Bristol Water's work to repair a burst main in Austin Road is due to take until Friday (October 2).

Finally, the work by Bristol Water to put in exploratory trial hole pits prior to the construction of a new water main in Old Butleigh Road, Bretenoux Road and Chalice Way is expected to continue until Friday.
