A man is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after a single-vehicle crash on the A361 in Glastonbury overnight.

Police said officers were called by the ambulance service at 11.40pm on Friday, 17 April, after a report that a motorcyclist had been injured.

A man in his twenties was taken to hospital following the crash. Police later said his injuries are now being treated as potentially life-threatening.

The A361 remains closed to all vehicles between Wick Lane and Chilkwell Street while collision investigators continue their work at the scene.

The road is also closed to HGVs from the Wirral Park roundabout pending recovery of the vehicle, police said.

No other vehicles are reported to have been involved.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes while the closure remains in place.

If you have any information, dashcam, or other footage which could help police establish what happened, please call 101 and give the reference 5226105459.
