Date: 31.01.2019Time: 15:10Location: Norbins Road, GlastonburyFire crews from Glastonbury, Street and Taunton were mobilised to a report of a possible gas leak from a gas fire at the above location. On arrival at the incident fire crews confirmed a gas leak between the back boiler and the gas fire within a terraced property.  Crews carried out local evacuation of 10 properties and implemented a 50 metre cordon.  2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 safety jet and 1 attack jet were used to make the area safe and crews ventilated the property naturally front and rear.  Gas monitoring equipment was used from the Environmental Protection Unit from Taunton to check for gas levels.   Crews isolated the gas externally and the gas board completed a full capping to the property.
