Street and Glastonbury are set for an exciting weekend with a variety of events that promise fun, entertainment, and community spirit.

Here's what you can look forward to:

Somerstock Music Festival

Somerstock is almost here, and tickets are selling fast! This year's headliner is the legendary jazz-funk band Shakatak, set to electrify the stage on Saturday, 13th July. The festival kicks off on Friday night with performances by The Charlie Miller Band, Twisted Vinyl, and Florence & The Bare Souls. With over ten more live acts across two outdoor stages and a big top marquee, Somerstock is the music festival you can't afford to miss.

Indulge in a feast of flavours from around the world with a wide range of food and drink options, from craft ales and cocktails to alcoslush and mouth-watering street food. The dedicated Kids' Zone will keep the children entertained with activities like a silent disco, circus skills, face painting, and a bouncy castle (and kids under 12 go free).

Immerse yourself fully in the festival experience with on-site camping and convenient parking options. Limited Friday night tickets are also available for those who can't attend the whole weekend. Somerstock isn't just about the music – it's a celebration of community and fun. For more details and to grab your tickets, visit Somerstock.

Backdoor Blues Jam at Queen of Cups

On Sunday, enjoy some soulful blues at the Backdoor Blues Jam at the Queen of Cups. Running from 5pm to 7pm, this event is perfect for blues enthusiasts looking to end their weekend on a high note. For more details, visit Backdoor Blues Jam.

Community Meditation at Assembly Rooms

Join the MASS community gathering for silent meditation and reflection at the Assembly Rooms on Sunday from 6pm to 8pm. This event provides a peaceful sanctuary to connect with your inner self.

Conclude your weekend with a performance by Eddie Mole at the King Arthur on Sunday from 8pm to 10pm. Eddie is a highly regarded musician, writer, and performer, offering a mix of solo acoustic performances and full band sets.

What's on at Strode Theatre

Head over to Strode Theatre in Street for a variety of events. This weekend, the South West School of Dance presents "SIX THE MUSICAL" on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July. For film enthusiasts, "FREUD'S LAST SESSION (12A)" is showing from Saturday 13th to Wednesday 17th July.
