Free entry to Glastonbury exhibition that explores the links between fantasy and reality

By Tim Lethaby 16th Jul 2021

There will be free entry to a new art exhibition that starts in Glastonbury next month, and that explores the links between fantasy and reality.

The new mixed media art exhibition Hy Brasil will be held at Blue Cedar Printworks, 3 Silver Street, Glastonbury, from January 10 to March 6.

The exhibition is an exploration of the mystery of mythical lands, and features the work of Julia Bedford and Oliver G Unsworth.

Through the aid of narrative and psycho-geography, the works discuss links between fantasy and reality.

Julia is a mixed media artist and universal explorer, creating works with paint, ephemera, food, and people. Her work is in response to the natural living environment.

She has worked on site-specific installations, murals and facilitated many workshops, though her love of drawing has run throughout all her work.

Oliver is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Glastonbury, working with sculptural assemblage.

The key to his work is exploration, discovery, and invention. He relates extravagant ideas to everyday living.

He has worked in upcycled large scale sculpture for public events. He has specialised in ceramics for the past few years.
