Families in Shepton Mallet can look forward to a free Easter egg hunt and a day of activities at Collett Park on Saturday, 19 April.

The event, organised by Shepton Mallet Town Council and Collett Park Café, will run from 11am to 2pm and promises a packed schedule of fun for children and families to enjoy.

Among the highlights is a free Easter egg hunt, where children can explore the park in search of hidden chocolate treats. There will also be an opportunity to meet lambs and other animals, giving little ones the chance to get up close to some friendly farmyard favourites.

Children and adults alike are encouraged to take part in the Easter bonnet parade at 1.30pm, where those who bring their own decorated bonnets will have the chance to win prizes. There will also be free craft activities, with more prizes up for grabs, as well as face painting to add a splash of colour to the day's celebrations.

The event is completely free to attend, making it an ideal way for families to celebrate Easter together without any cost.

With the event taking place in the heart of Shepton Mallet, organisers hope it will bring the community together for a day of springtime fun.
