Former Glastonbury resident and ex-St Benedict's and St Dunstan's pupil Mark Lain became a published author a few years ago when he launched his adventure gamebook series entitled Destiny's Role.

Four books are now available on Amazon with combined sales of nearly 1,000 copies and Mark is currently working on the series' latest entry, Red Monsoon, after it was funded on Kickstarter in January.

A lifelong fan of fantasy gamebooks, Mark took his interest to the next level in 2018 with the release of his sophomore title Zero To Hero.

There then followed the witchhunt-themed Mistress of Sorrows, a dungeon crawl entitled Venom Of Vortan, then a series companion primer Distractions 1.

Alongside the ongoing writing of the forthcoming Red Monsoon, Mark is also currently working on Jenna: Survival Instinct, an original post-apocalypse themed science fiction graphic novel which was funded on Kickstarter on April 30.

Mark intends for Destiny's Role to have many more titles, and is already planning and designing at least five more titles for the series.
