Fire engines from Somerton, Glastonbury and Martock were initially sent to this incident, also an environmental protection unit from Taunton, a water carrier from Yeovil and supporting Officers. On arrival crews requested a further five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform which were sent from Martock, Street and Yeovil, supporting appliances and Officers also attended.This is an industrial unit measuring 60m x 60m steel frame portal and concrete construction used as a waste transfer station. Contents within building fully involved in fire. Externally individual skips also involved in fire. Crews at work extinguishing with breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and main jets.
