Farm buildings on fire at Common Moor Drove, Glastonbury

Date: 15.10.2018Time: 04:20Location: Common Moor Drove, GlastonburyOne Fire Engine from Glastonbury was sent to a report of a fire that could be seen in the distance. On arrival crews confirmed this was several agricultural buildings and various vehicles involved in the fire. A further Fire Engine from Street and one from Wells was sent and a Water Carrier from Bridgwater.

At 05:05 hours a further Fire Engine from Wells and one from Somerton was also sent. Crews are currently using breathing apparatus, foam and jets to extinguish the fire and prevent it escalating. Crews have confirmed that at least 2 unidentified cylinders have also been involve in the fire.
