Join us on Sunday, 28th July, as Glastonbury celebrates Pride with a day full of events, entertainment, and spiritual spaces for the LGBTQAI+ community.

Here's your complete guide to the festivities:

Programme of Events

10am-12pm: Pre-Pride Brunch at Queen of Cups - Start your day with a delicious brunch. Check the venue for menu and prices.

11am-12pm: Morris Dancers at The Market Cross - Enjoy performances by Molly No Mates and Glastonbury Border Morris.

12-1pm: Entertainment at The Market Cross - Join us for the Unity Candle Lighting and Antinous Priest Blessing.

1pm: Pride March - The march sets off, featuring the Intercom Trust Rainbow Flag sponsored by Unisen. Market Cross entertainment continues until 1pm for those who prefer not to walk.

2-3pm: Morris Dancers on Benedict Street - Catch more Morris dancing by the church.

3pm: Opening by Sarah Dyke MP - The official opening will take place outside St Benedict's Church.

3-7pm: Bonaroo at St Ben's Church - Enjoy cabaret, drag queens, singing, and stand-up performances. Free food and a raffle, with winners announced at 5:45pm.

Quiet and Spiritual Spaces

For those seeking a more reflective experience, the following venues offer quiet contemplation:

10am: St John's Church - Holy Communion service followed by a space for quiet reflection and refreshments in the afternoon.

10:30am-1pm: United Reformed Church - Pride service followed by refreshments.

11am-1pm: St Benedict's Church - Celtic Communion service followed by quiet reflection.

1-4pm: The Temple of Avalon - A pagan space open to all sexualities and genders for quiet reflection.

12-3pm: Church Lane Hub (near St John's Church) - Join the Quakers for quiet reflection.

Additional Information

  • Bring Cash for the Raffle: Fantastic prizes kindly donated by local businesses.
  • Queer Artwork: Don't forget to look for queer artwork displayed in shops around town.
  • Fundraising: This year's Pride is fundraising for Mermaids, a UK charity supporting transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse children and young people, 2BU Somerset, which offers youth support services for LGBTQ+ young people in Somerset, and Somerset Wide Integrated Sexual Health services.
