The European Football Championships might be over, but there are plenty of events taking place in Glastonbury to keep you entertained.

A number of these events in Glastonbury are being added to our recently revamped What's On section.

Our top event pick for this week is Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore, being performed at Glastonbury Abbey by Illyria.

Set on board the warship HMS Pinafore, the opera cheerfully mocks such Great British institutions as Class, Patriotism and the Royal Navy.

This wonderful comic opera gets the complete Illyria treatment, faithfully performed with the full score by a reduced cast on a beautiful nautical set.

The event is taking place at 6.30pm on Wednesday July 14, and for more information, check out the website here.

You can list your events - e.g. shows, films, sports fixtures, quiz nights, local markets, steak nights at the local pub, jazz choir rehearsals, or anything else - on our What's On page FREE of charge, just click this link and then click the black Nub It button.
