Even though lockdown restrictions have not been fully removed yet, there are plenty of events taking place in the Glastonbury area, either in person or online.

A number of these events in Glastonbury are being added to our recently revamped What's On section.

Our top event pick for this week is the Plugging the Skills Gap online live panel debate, being presented by Strode College.

Business Leader Magazine has teamed up with Strode College for a special live panel debate looking at the benefits of employing apprentices and investing in traineeships and T-level work placements.

The panel will include:

  • David Byford: director of employer engagement, Strode College
  • Shaun Grist: group IT manager, Wellington Motor Group
  • Emma Cox: head of field sales, Thatchers Cider Company Ltd
  • Gillian Keegan MP: Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Apprenticeships and Skills at the Department for Education
  • Ingrid Parker: operations manager, Harris and Harris Solicitors
  • Mell Turford: director and chair, GFMradio

The event is taking place from 10am to 11am on Thursday (July 8), and for more information, check out the website here.

You can list your events - e.g. shows, films, sports fixtures, quiz nights, local markets, steak nights at the local pub, jazz choir rehearsals, or anything else - on our What's On page FREE of charge, just click this link and then click the black Nub It button.
