Virgin Money Giving has teamed up with selling site Ziffit.com as part of Giving Tuesday Now to raise money for UK charities struggling during the coronavirus pandemic, including cancer counselling charity We Hear You, which serves Glastonbury.

Communications officer Lucy MvMahon said: "We hope lots of people will get involved with the Declutter and Donate campaign.

"At the same time as supporting a local charity, it provides an opportunity to responsibly rehome your unwanted books, CDs, DVDs and games while all the charity shops are shut.

"We've got a bespoke fundraising link on the Ziifit.com website, which will ensure the money from your items comes to WHY.

"Anything with a barcode can be entered and it's possible to arrange a contactless collection with Ziffit if you're not able to head out.

"At WHY, we're still running our counselling service by phone and online, plus our new Covid-19 telephone crisis support service at a cost of more than £5,000 per week.

"At the same time we've had to postpone or cancel almost all of our planned fundraising events in the community.

"We're so grateful for the support of the communities we work in, and we'd love you to get involved with this campaign, hopefully for mutual benefit."

The bespoke link to raise funds for We Hear You through the Declutter and Donate campaign can be found through We Hear You's social media channels.
