Community Christmas lunch for Glastonbury

For those wanting to get out of the house on Christmas Day and enjoy a little warmth and company, a community Christmas lunch will be taking place at Glasotnbury Town Hall, between 12pm and 2.30pm.

The meal is being organised by volunteers to support those in the community who may be alone, isolated, homeless or vulnerably housed this Christmas.

Food will be served on a first-come, first served basis, over two sittings, and there will be a bar serving non-alcoholic drinks.

Welcomers will also be available on the day who will be able to offer support and signposting.

Anyone interested in volunteering - either on the run up or on the day - meet at Glastonbury Town Hall at 11am on December 22nd, for run-through of roles and some Christmas decoration making.

All of the organisers are unpaid volunteers and the Main Hall has been offered free of charge by the Town Council. The event is free but there are overheads, so, if you can afford it, a suggested donation is £5 per person. Any surplus will go towards future community events.
