Members of the management team at Clarks Village outlet completed a challenging 50-kilometre trek across Bristol and Somerset, raising close to £3,000 for Scotty's Little Soldiers, a charity committed to aiding the children and young people grieving military losses.

The charitable venture saw seven members of the Clarks Village team, including Centre Director Chris Davis, take on a gruelling 12-hour hike that started in North Bristol's Patchway area and culminated at their base, the Clarks Village shopping outlet. The trek traversed a variety of landscapes, from the Bristol Downs to the Somerset Levels, passing under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and through the Mendips.

The Clarks Village team, composed of Chris Davis, Rich Crees, Sharon Godby, Aidan O'Brien, Wayne Tucker, Kyle Reeves, and Lucy Garner, managed to surpass their initial fundraising target of £1,500, currently standing at £2,896, with donations still coming in.

Reflecting on the challenge, team member Rich Crees said: "This was among the hardest things we've ever done, especially with the temperature hitting 28 degrees and the daunting hill climbs. But the stunning views, our determination to support the incredible work of Scotty's Little Soldiers, and our mutual support kept us motivated throughout. We feel a great sense of achievement having raised so much for the charity, despite the blisters and aches."

Adding his thoughts, Chris Davis, Centre Director at Clarks Village, expressed his pride in the team's accomplishment, stating: "Exploring the breathtaking Bristol and Somerset landscapes on foot was a fantastic, albeit tough, experience. While we might be nursing sore feet this week, we're delighted to have exceeded our fundraising target for such a deserving cause."
