Clarks Village has officially renamed one of its streets "Lando Lane" to honour McLaren's Lando Norris after he secured his first Formula 1 world title.

The new signage was unveiled on Monday, 8 December 2025, following Norris's championship-clinching win at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The renamed pedestrian avenue runs between Apple Court and Orchard Square off Farm Road, in the heart of the shopping centre.

Norris was born in Bristol and educated at Millfield School in Street. He began his karting career while living in Somerset, and Clarks Village says the new name honours a "local hero" and his journey from a Somerset schoolboy to global champion.

Chris Davis, centre director of Clarks Village, said: "Lando is a local hero and we are all absolutely delighted that he's been crowned world champion. He spent his formative years here in Somerset and it was during this period in his life when he took up karting, a path that has ultimately led to him becoming the best F1 driver in the world.

"Renaming our street 'Lando Lane' is our way of commemorating this incredible achievement from one of the region's favourite sons."
