The churches of Street, Walton, and Compton Dundon are gearing up for a busy festive season, with a variety of Christmas services, community carols, and family-friendly events taking place throughout December.

Local residents are warmly invited to join the celebrations, which promise to bring festive cheer to all corners of the benefice.

In the lead-up to Christmas, families can enjoy hands-on activities like Messy Christmas on 3 December at Holy Trinity Church, Walton, and a Toddler Group Christmas Celebration on 6 December at the Mission Church in Street.

Carols take centre stage later in the month, starting with Community Christmas Carols at St. Andrew's Church, Compton Dundon, on 8 December. On 15 December, Walton's Holy Trinity Church will host a traditional carol service at 6pm, followed by another festive gathering at Compton Dundon on 17 December at 6pm.

Christmas Eve will see Crib Services across the benefice, perfect for children and families. St. Andrew's Church in Compton Dundon will host its service at 3pm, with both Street Parish Church and Holy Trinity Church in Walton holding their Crib Services at 4:30pm. For those looking to reflect on the season more traditionally, Midnight Christmas Communion will be held at Walton at 9:30pm and at Street Parish Church at 11:30pm.

On Christmas Day, the benefice will offer a range of services, including Christmas Day Communion at 10am at St. Andrew's Church, Compton Dundon, and an All-Age Christmas Celebration at 10:30am at the Mission Church in Street.

The celebrations continue into the new year, with a special Benefice Communion service planned for 29 December at Street Parish Church.

With a packed calendar of events and services, there's plenty to bring the community together and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas. Residents are encouraged to check the benefice website or contact their local church for more details.v
