Carbon Monoxide Leak at Asney Road, Walton, Street

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at the above location.
Blue Watch fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Street to attend this incident and instructed the occupiers to evacuate the property. Six people evacuated the property with no health concerns.
On arrival the incident commander confirmed the carbon monoxide alarms sounding and instructed a breathing apparatus team to enter the property with a carbon monoxide to locate the cause of the alarm.
Whilst investigating the property the carbon monoxide detector confirmed traces of carbon monoxide on both floors. The crews got to work isolating the boiler and started ventilating the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The incident commander requested a further appliance to attend for breathing apparatus and gas monitoring equipment.
Fire control immediately mobilised one fire appliance from Bridgwater and a hazardous material environmental protection advisor to attend this incident.
On arrival of the second appliance the incident commander instructed a second breathing apparatus crew to enter the property with the gas monitoring equipment to investigate the property.
The breathing apparatus crew confirmed no further readings were detected on the gas monitoring equipment. The incident commander liaised with the occupiers and left the incident with the occupiers.
