Bus fire at Windmill Hill, Glastonbury

Date: 24.10.2018Time: 08:15Location: Windmill Hill, GlastonburyTwo appliances from Glastonbury and Street were mobilised to reports of a bus on fire at the above location. On arrival crews discovered a single storey twenty one seater coach well alight, all persons were accounted for. Crews used four breathing apparatus, one compressed air foam jet and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Crews then used a thermal imaging camera to make sure the area was safe. There was heat damage to overhead cables above the coach but the duty of care of these was left with Western Power.
