Candlelight Care welcomed James Heappey MP to their Head Office in Glastonbury last week, as they celebrated winning a significant accolade in the care sector.

Mr Heappey visited in the same week that Candlelight Care learned that they had been named in the prestigious 'Top 20 Rated Home Care Group' list, complied by homecare.co.uk. The list is based on published reviews from clients and their families on the website, and it is the third time that Candlelight Care has been included.

During his visit Mr Heappey met staff from across the business, including those from the Live-in Care team, Candlelight24, and the Discharge to Assess team who support people coming home from a period in hospital, thus reducing pressure on the NHS. He also spoke with James Catley-Day, Managing Director of Candlelight Care, about the pressures facing the care sector.

James Catley-Day said, "We are grateful to James Heappey for coming to visit us, especially as he had only just arrived home after a working visit abroad. We hope that following his visit he has gained a greater understanding of the care sector and look forward to hearing from him with answers to some questions we raised."
