A celebration of the work achieved by everyone involved in the Engage Somerset project is to be held in Glastonbury on Wednesday (June 29).
Engage Somerset is a project which aims to support people's health and wellbeing needs, inspiring them to make positive and healthy change through a range of support. Charlotte Vendome-Gardner, Community Change Coach for Engage Somerset, said: "In Glastonbury this has centred around what the community needed and as resulted in art and walking groups, as well as teaming up with the Volunteer Network and the Avalon Marshes for projects and additional support. The project is aimed at people who are not in paid employment and hopes to support them to achieve their goals and ambitions."
The event will be held at the Assembly Rooms from 11am to 1pm, with doors opening at 10.30am. There will be art, African drumming, a smoothie bike, tea and nibbles, tips on wellbeing, digital training opportunities and stories from people who have taken part in the Engage Somerset projects.
Charlotte said: "The event is a celebration of everything that all of the people on the project have achieved, and they really should be so proud!"
There will also be a live stream from the event at watchchaos.tv
