Sir Ed Davey, leader of the Liberal Democrats, visited Glastonbury yesterday afternoon (June 11), marking the latest high-profile politician to come to the area as part of the general election campaign.

During his visit, Sir Ed enjoyed a bicycle ride around the base of Glastonbury Tor. He also shared an ice cream with Sarah Dyke, the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Glastonbury and Somerton constituency.

The pair also bet a pint of Somerset cider on who would win a larger majority in the upcoming election.

The full list of candidates standing in the Glastonbury and Somerton constituency is:

  • Tom Carter (Reform UK)
  • Jon Cousins (Green Party)
  • Sarah Dyke (Liberal Democrat)
  • Hal Hooberman (Labour)
  • Faye Purbrick (Conservative)
